"Randy and his wife Becky have created the perfect get-a-way, not more than 60 minutes from North Fulton yet a world away. They had everything - huge fireplace in ginormous great room with unbelievable views of the mountains and Amicalola Falls and lodge, large open gourmet kitchen (complete with wine cellar and kegerator), generous master with a spa bathroom (state of the art shower and bath tub and cedar sauna), new and clean 7 seat hot tub/spa, ceiling fans in every room and every porch made every space comfortable and bugless, 5 bedrooms with ample sleeping and VERY comfortable beds (I have severe back problems and I was very comfortable), clean and generous bathrooms, cozy towels, even a washer and dryer to do our laundry. Our kids LOVED the kids play area with toys and gaming system as well as the chicken coop, tree house, and fire pit for s'mores. The paddle boat, feeding the fishes and fishing were VERY popular with the kids, and we adults enjoyed the lovely trails with hand hewn bench seating strategically placed along them for the weary hiker. The Harris's treated us to a full service experience and we WILL be back - with our young children, with out our young children, with our friends and family. It was pretty much perfect! Not to mention its incredible proximity to Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge as well as Burt's Pumpkin Patch. Randy - little Lauren wants to know when we can go back?

Wedding held October 12th 2013.

"We had a wonderful stay with our family for our wedding that we had inside the beautiful lodge. We were able to accommodate 12 comfortably at the lodge and was able to cook for 40+ in their great kitchen. The kids and "Adult Kids" all had a fabulous time on the paddle boat, canoe and fishing off the Dock. We used the Hot Tub and the only thing missing was Snow... ( I asked Randy to provide for us but oh well maybe next time) Both Randy and his Wife Becky were just awesome! They wanted us to all enjoy ourselves and went beyond being helpful with any possible needs. They provided fun for the Kids of all ages with a campfire with Smores. Thanks Randy and Becky for making our time with you memorable and hope to see you again soon. "

"We vacationed in March 2013 with two other families and had one of the most memorable vacations ever. Our hosts, Randy and Becky, were very gracious. Our group got to fish, cut wood, help with the chickens, make cake pops, enjoy a camp fire, go on a tour of the grounds, hike the falls and go on a scavenger hunt. We all got to enjoy the country lifestyle....it was wonderful. We would recommend this house to anyone who enjoys nature and relaxation in a beautiful lodge!!!"

"We had a wonderful time at Bear Ridge Lodge. Our family enjoyed the gorgeous mountain views, tranquil setting, and the kid-friendly atmosphere. The photos really don't do justice to the lovely views of the falls from the lodge's great room. We truly appreciated the time spent with hosts Randy and Becky and the fun outdoor activities available for our kids during our stay. Randy and Becky were very accommodating, ensuring all our diverse needs were met for the duration of the trip. We can't wait to plan our next return tip to Bear Ridge Lodge!"

"This is a beautiful home in the Georgia mountains. It has every amenity you could ever want. My children are still asking to go back. They loved to fish, shuffle board and just be in the woods. Randy and Becky are wonderful hosts who are really focused on making your stay a great one. Randy had wood projects for the boys and Becky organized a baking activity for the girls. I highly recommend it for a family getaway or as a couple to just relax."

"A weekend getaway to the scenic mountains was what my family and I desired when we found this lodge. I cannot give enough praise for the lodge itself and the owners on-site. The 4 bedroom home has something for everyone with its wonderful views of the Amicalola falls to the exciting treasure hunt for the children. You do not have to worry about what you forgot at home because the house already has supplies on hand for whatever you need. I cannot begin to call what we received as "good customer service" because the owners went above and beyond their call of duty with: the bon-fire set up with Smores supplied, a bottle of homemade wine, the treasure hunt, the tour of the property, and the time they took with our kids showing them their baby chicks. I rate this property 5 stars because of the people, the location, the cleanliness and the amenities."

"Our family stayed at Bear Ridge Lodge to celebrate our family Christmas! The Lodge was everything that was promised and more, the home was beautiful and the views were breathtaking. Upon arrival the hosts met us with a bottle of wine from their very own Bear Ridge Lodge Winery and gave us an in depth tour of the home and premises, making us feel right at home. What a unique experience, having the huge lodge to ourselves and yet having the hosts on the premises to answer any questions we may have, or help us in any way. While there we fished, hiked, had smores by the firepit, played many games of shuffle board and had ongoing pool tournaments throughout our stay. Not to mention spending many hours by the roaring fireplace, cooking family meals together in the gourmet kitchen and relaxing in the rocking chairs surrounded by mountains and a gorgeous view of Amicalola Falls! Imagine making all of those memories with your family, while at the same time making lifelong friends with the hosts! That is exactly what our family did, the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay the best ever, making us feel like family and they truly cared that all of our needs were met while at Bear Ridge Lodge! The hosts also provided our group with a Pirate Treasure Hunt and lit the fire at the firepit every evening at dusk, I know I am going on and on about the host and for us, there attentiveness to our family meant everything and we all enjoyed spending time with them, however, you only see the hosts if that is what you want, they give you their cell number and tell you to call them at anytime, otherwise they give you all the privacy you want. We were even treated to a light snowfall on Saturday, (don't know how the hosts managed that-lol) which made the premises that much more beautiful and one more outing for the kids - yes, snowball fights! We loved Bear Ridge Lodge, and we will return! While we never left the lodge during our stay, there are many neat places to visit while there within a 20 to 30 minute drive, once again the hosts provide you with a list of all the things to see and do! We spent time with our loved ones and gained lifelong friends - life doesn't get better than that!"

"Wow, what a great weekend with family at Bear Ridge Lodge! We especially enjoyed getting to know the wonderful hosts, Randy and Becky! They were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The home and property are beautiful and well maintained. If you enjoy hiking, fishing, sitting by a campfire, or just hanging out and enjoying an awesome view with family and friends, this is your place. We had a great time and look forward to returning soon!"

"Dear Randy & Becky,

In my life I have been fortunate to see many scenic and beautiful places all over the world. Bear Ridge Lodge rates up there with the best of them. It is truly more beautiful & picturesque than your web page photos can portray. The accommodation were absolutely great, five star for sure.

However, being the history buff that I am, what I loved most was the local history, the folklore about moonshining, NASCAR, the discovery of gold along with the museum in the historic city of Dahlonega. Amicalola Falls and the surrounding trails, and the bluegrass music were special.

Your place is Beautiful, Scenic, Restful, Historic, with great accommodation. What more could a person possibily need! Your are lucky to live in one of God's Paradises! Thank you for sharing it with us. We will visit again for sure."

"I am truly blessed that this place was available for my wedding! The owners are nothing short of amazing and they made my wedding go off without a hitch! Thanks guys! We will be back soon!"

"We along with 3 other family/friends spent the Thanksgiving week at this beautiful place and we all enjoyed our stay. Bear Ridge Lodge is one of the best cabin we stayed at. It’s very specious with all new, modern appliances. We specially loved the roomy kitchen with granite countertop where we spent a good amount of time as we love to cook . The leaving room was also very bright with windows all the way to ceiling which I really loved. We enjoyed our coffee time at the porch with the breathtaking view of lake and the nature. We all loved the canoeing at the lake and found it to be romantic and relaxing. The owners were just a phone call away if we needed anything and were very a nice and accommodating. They offered to do a treasure hunt at their endless property and kids really got excited and loved it. The weather was great and refreshing especially to us Floridians where we barely get a cool weather. I certainly will recommend this gorgeous place to all and will love to go back for more......"

"Your home and property is awesome! We have had a great weekend. You are very friendly and hospitable. We love it and hope to return. Thank you so much for everything!"

"My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this cabin on a rustic road. Wall-to-ceiling picture windows overlook a lovely lake and Amicalola Falls. This spacious cabin has a rustic feel but with luxury accommodations. The kitchen, living room area would be perfect for a party or family gathering. The place was obviously decorated by someone with a deep love of nature and a close connection with earth spirits. The rooms are immaculate, the owners treat their guests as if they were family. This is an ideal mountain retreat for relaxing, having a corporate retreat or a family reunion. And you can't beat the price."

"Bear Ridge Lodge experience by Ron McNeil group: I am from beautiful Destin, Florida in the Panhandle and have a ranch near Tallahassee. Our group was ecstatic about the hospitality and beauty of Bear Ridge Lodge--and having the use of a 7,000 sq. ft. Log home. I have visited multiple times and the joy, relaxation, and friendly environment is always a pleasure. It is THE Mountain Retreat Experience. Randy and Becky are consummate hosts and a joy to know. What a beautiful setting for a vacation or conference--I have been there for both types of experiences. Fun and Laughter are in abundance every day as well as times of quite comfort and peace."

"I stayed here for a few nights and had the most wonderful experience. The house is gorgeous - it's spacious, clean, very comfortable, and quiet. The property is amazing - countless acres with plenty of trails and things to do, though town was only a short drive away. The house has a nice view of a waterfall in the distance and overlooks a pond, where we took out a small boat and fished for hours. At night, if we weren't relaxing in front of the fireplace, we spent most of our time on the outside porch looking at the stars - it made it a nice place to spend the evening. We were in search for a relaxing weekend away and found the perfect spot, just loved the atmosphere.

My only regret is that I hadn't planned a longer trip, but have already booked a return in December."

"Discovered this gem about a month before our family reunion. I called my sister and told her to cancel our other location and we're glad we did. Upon arrival, we were met by the owners, who greeted us in the driveway. The cabin retreat is beautiful with magnificent views. There is even a waterfall you can see from the front porch! My family loved the location and all of the kids had a blast playing by the lake, having bonfires at night, and hiking in the woods. The adults loved the accommodations with all the modern touches of home. The entire cabin is so spacious that the adults could relax at night downstairs, while the kids played pool or ran around outside until they were exhausted.

We will definitely be back next year and maybe my wife and I sooner. Thanks again Becky and Randy for the hospitality!"

"How do you say, "Thank You" to two individuals with such great hearts. My son and I loved the property and your hospitality. The place is "Heaven on Earth. Enjoy living in paradise and I hope everyone can experience the great time we had here."

"We scheduled an overnight family outing which resulted in a wonderful evening and day at Bear Ridge. Each member of the family want to return this summer."

"I could only stay for a half day--the accommodations were precisely as stated in the website, however the majesty of the facility and of the locations must be personally experienced to understand the lodge. It is conveniently located off Hwy 52--easily accessed from Hwy 400 from Atlanta--should be great for a family get-together, small business exchanges, or in my case a gathering of small golfers. You will not be disappointed with your stay at the lodge."
